Jazz at Joes is at Mood Indego in Bend

The Pro's who have graciously agreed to this private event...

Tony Monaco may be the best organ player you have yet to hear of flying stealth while playing arguably some of the hottest B-3 around. Mentored by the legendary Jimmy Smith in what is considered the more classic style.

Bob Sheppard - Some musicians’ careers are easily pigeonholed. Not so Bob Sheppard’s. For more than four decades, the multi-instrumentalist has played on countless sessions with an astounding crop of A-list jazz giants—among them Chick Corea, Freddie Hubbard, Michael and Randy Brecker, Mike Stern, Herbie Hancock, Kurt Elling, Dianne Reeves, Lyle Mays, John Beasley and Steps Ahead—and artists within several other genres. He’s also recorded and toured as a leader, contributed to hundreds of movie and TV soundtracks, served as an educator and more.

Todd Strait - Over Todd's 40 year career, he has spent 10 years in New York City playing with Marian McPartland, Tal Farlow, a brief tour with Woody Herman's Thundering Herd, followed by a relocation to Kansas City working with Interstring, PBT Trio among many others. During this time in Kansas City, Todd met Eldar, Karrin Allyson, and Kevin Mahagony leading to national and international travel with each over a 20 year period.

Mood Indigo is located in the Just Joe's Music showroom, (2nd floor, no elevator) We convert the store to a club atmosphere, regularly engage top local and regional jazz artists and provide a private space to enjoy live music and the musicians. A more personal space would be hard to find.

Lisa Dae will be your host.  "Our goal is  to create a cozy and relaxed atmosphere where conversation among friends is encouraged and intimate music listening is also possible.   Smaller, quaint venues can offer both these  advantages - we're all about that."

Just Joe's has a long history of presenting jazz in our community. The popular Jazz at Joe's series with 75 concerts to date has set a high bar - Mood Indigo is dedicated to that same tall order.
